Tennis

Located just south of the Bay Beach Park on Laurel and Bay Walks are our 6 har-tru tennis courts. Please see our Tennis page for full membership details regarding pricing, playtime, lessons, and programs.


ELIGIBILITY 

  1. Seaview Homeowners and residing family members, current in their service charges for each house and/or property owned. 

  2. Families who rent, for a minimum of two (2) weeks, from eligible homeowners. 

  3. Homeowners renting to groups for all or any part of the year are not eligible for tennis memberships.

  4. Seaview employees are eligible to play during the unscheduled time without charge, or as a fee-paying member if scheduled in a regular game. Immediate family members of employees are eligible for paid memberships. 

  5. Residents from neighboring communities may apply for a Non-Resident Membership which entitles them to register for lessons and clinics only.  All non-residents wishing to take lessons and clinics must complete online registration and then be approved before going to the courts. 


TENNIS MEMBERSHIP 

Membership is granted by the Seaview Association to families of eligible individuals as described above who have submitted a completed an online application through the Tennis portion of the Seaview website and paid all their Seaview Association yearly charges and their tennis application fees.


GUEST PRIVILEGES 

Players from neighboring communities may play as a guest with a member once a week or within any 7-day period. The guest(s) name MUST be recorded.


SCHEDULING & COURT ASSIGNMENT 

  1. Court timeslots and court numbers are scheduled by the Tennis Committee. 

  2. Prime-Time is 8:30-10:00 am; 10:00-11:00 am; 11:00-12:30 pm and is prioritized for doubles play.

  3. Court times are distributed on a first-come basis to a fully paid group of four or two, requesting a specific time. A twosome is not eligible for primetime courts. 

  4. Only scheduled players may use their assigned court. Members are responsible for arranging their own foursome. **After 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, if a court is vacant, eligible members (all Seaview Tennis rules apply) may use the empty court. 

  5. If any dispute arises as to who is entitled to play, it must be addressed by the Tennis Pro. 

  6. Members will be able to sign up for open time on a weekend or weekday, on a daily basis by using the Seaview Tennis Court Reserve App. The tennis member may reserve a court up to 2 days in advance of play.


MISCELLANEOUS 

  1. Appropriate tennis attire is required: shirts / soft surface sneakers. 

  2. Lessons can be scheduled with the pros Monday - Thursday after 10 am and weekends after 11 am. 

  3. Lessons begin 5 minutes past the hour and end 5 minutes before the hour.

  4. Members may not play more than twice a day.  

  5. For safety reasons, no child under 3 years old is allowed in the courts.  A child in the sitting area, even if accompanied by an adult, can be asked to leave if they are disturbing tennis players.

  6. The Tennis Committee reserves the right to pre-empt reserved play for tournaments or other Seaview events. 

  7. Tennis players are responsible to brush courts after use, in a timely and courteous manner.

  8. Courts are open from 8:30 am - 7:30 pm daily, weather permitting. 

  9. Seaview Refund Policy:  Any refund requests on a tennis membership fee, due to an unexpected medical event, will be reviewed and determined by the Seaview Association.  All refunds will be prorated if applicable.

  10. Your membership may be suspended or revoked if you violate the Seaview tennis rules and/or regulations.

The Seaview Association reserves the right to revise the Seaview Tennis Rules at any time.
