Dogs, Cats and Wildlife
Effective January 1st, 2021
As per NYS Law dogs must be leashed at all times. (i.e. on the beach, our walkways, and other Seaview Properties).
Dogs are not allowed on the beach during Lifeguard hours 9 am to 6 pm daily.
We do have an “informal exception” and allow unleashed well-behaved dogs on the beach before 9 am and after 6 pm. Please keep in mind that “our exception” does not change NYS law and the possibility of being summoned by the police. Please also be mindful that some people are scared of all dogs.
In all cases, dog owners MUST clean up after their dogs! You should take their waste home with you and discard it in your garbage.
Cats should have a bell on their collars at all times for the protection of the birds.
